100 % Wood-Free Construction
Caravelle Powerboats is committed to quality. Superior craftsmanship and premium materials are built into each and ervy model. Our 100 % Wood-Free construction process is proven technology that provides the ultimate in strength and durability.

No Wood. No Rot. No Worries.
If you've been a boater for any length of time, you've probably witnessed the failure of wood in a boat. Wood floors, seat bases and transoms are all susceptible to time and water. Sooner or later even treated wood will rot, and it is very frustrating and expensive to repair.
The only reason anyone still puts wood in a boat is because it's cheaper and easier. Caravelle doesn't cut corners when building your boat.
Many companies talk about wood-free this and wood-free that, yet fail to mention the use of plywood in transoms, stringers, side panels, seats, or subfloors. Rest assured, your Caravelle has absolutely no wood anywhere in the boat. Not in the transom. Not in the stringers. Not in the side panels, seats, or subfloors. Nowhere. There is no wood anywhere in your Caravelle. Not many companies can make that claim.
Power Grid System
Caravelle's 100 % Wood-Free technology protects your boat from teh elements making a more durable, longer-lasting, lower-maintenance boat. Starting with a sturdy all fiberglass stringer system. Closed-cell foam is then injected into and between each stringer for support, safety and sound dampening. In the transoms we use high-density Penske composite panels for rock-solid strength and longevity. Our unitized fiberglass floor, an integral part of the deck, prduces a more rigid foundation than separete components. This design creates superior strength and reduces flexing. The stringer system, transom, and unitized floor are then bonded together to create the PowerGrid System, the ultimate in total strength.

1. XPV Hull Design
The eXtended running surface produces quick planning times with minimal bow rise, a Padded keel bottom for creating exciting top end speeds, and a deep-V hull for a smooth, soft, and dry ride.
2. 3-Step Rub Rail
Extra wide rub rails offer superior hull side protection against dockside scrapes and dings. Standard rubg rail is color matched and has a built-in fungicide. Optional stainless steel insert adds to the disctinctive look of your Caravelle.
3. Heavy Duty Windshield
For the ultimate in strength, durability, and protection, our windshields have extra-large, heavy duty windshield frames with tempered safety glass and one-piece stainless steel supports.
4. Sunbrella Canvas
Only Sunbrella colorl-coordinated acrylic canvas is good enough for Caravelle boats. Sunbrella holds up to tough weather conditions, is stain resistant and easy to clean.
5. Heavy Duty Vinyl
OUr upholstery is made from heavy duty 32-oz. expanded vinyl with a Stain Resistant Topcoat. This protective barrier and the UV and mildew inhibitors will keep your boat's interior looking new.
6. Upholstery
Composite seat bases are more durable than wood and the aluminium braces add even more strength. High-density foam is firm yet comfortable, and a ciocide treatment protects from mildew.
7. Nida-Core
Our floors and decks are reinforced with Nida-Core, a synthetic honeycomb material that produces a strong, yet lightweight foundation. Nida-Core is far superior to either balsa or plywood.
8. Knytex Knitted Fiberglass
Because it is multi-directional (quad-axial), it produces a stronger boat than the older woven roving (bi-axial) process. It is more impact resistant and produces a smoother and clearer finish.
9. TCS 6000 Resin
A low VOC resin producing high tensile strength in areas carrying the greatest portion of the physical stress.
10. ArmorGuard
An advanced blister restistant barrier coat.
11. ArmorFlex
A more flexible gelcoat for superior restistance to stress cracks and crazing.
12. Armorcote
For accent colors: producing a brigther, fade resistant shine.
13. Penske Composite Panels
For the ultimate in strength and durability in our transoms and other vital areas, we uise3 fiberglass reinforeced enske composite panels instead of wood.
